内容简介:Studies nowadays are focusing more on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) measures to explore their effects on corporate behavior. Covering more than 7,000 public-listed companies worldwide with period dating back to 2002, Thomson Reuters ESG Scores provide a good source of CSR measure for banking studies. With more than 400 Environment, Social and Governance indicators, scholars can investigate different aspects of CSR. Thomson Reuters ESG Scores cover 545 banking service firms. After merging data with Bankscope (now Bankfocus), the well-known financial database for the banking sector, 510 sample banks can be adopted in empirical analysis. The majority of the sample is comprised of bank holding companies and commercial banks.
